Katharina Noussi is a doctoral student in political science at the University of Vienna. She has been awarded the University of Vienna Research Grant 2009 and of the Advanced Graduate Student Exchange Program scholarship between Vienna and Stanford University. She will be a visiting scholar at FCE for the period November 2-13, 2009. Her main research interest is in democratisation processes, particularly the realisation of effective public finance accountability systems, with a focus on African countries.
